The Spring Judged Fine Art show is on the walls at Rainbow Stew in Yucca Valley until May 12, 2021.

A beautiful moodiness comes with the latest judged Chaparral Artists show. This is the Spring show, however, participating artists did not limit themselves to presenting only representations of this budding season! Bold colors, internal reflection, and a variety of story has been presented in this year's Spring Fine Art show.

A total of 18 fine-art entries were received, divided into the three categories of "Nature's Kaleidoscope" - "Beautiful Creatures" - "Hand of Man"

Our Judge

Janis Commentz was our judge, a wonderful lady that juggles teaching, traveling and creating. My favorite of her works are full of subtlety and story, conveying the mood of the environment she is painting from - or painting in! I am in awe of her creations that so fully represent the moment she is capturing, deftly put to paper with beautifully simple strokes of the brush in lifelike yet somewhat dreamy color. To all artists - thank you for sharing your joy, creativity and spirit with us! To all be proud that you contributed! - Janis Commentz

Thanks go to the participating artists that shared their work with us. To Rainbow Stew and all visitors that make these shows possible. And congratulations to the creators that placed!

If you find yourself out and about, make sure to stop by Rainbow Stew (masks and social distancing required) and enjoy the Judged Fine Art show. It will be displayed until May when we transition into the members show "Abstract"!

We all want to take advantage of this great space because it sees a constant stream of traffic throughout the week. Chaparral Artists see sales through this venue, so do not pass up the opportunity to hang your art when you can, during one of our shows.

Stay safe and continue creating ^_^
