Artists are invited to submit artwork for the 12th annual Joshua Tree National Park Art Expo juried exhibition, which will be on display Nov. 1 to 30, 2024, at the historic 29 Palms Art Gallery. Submit artwork entries early!
Theme: “Artwork depicting or inspired by the natural aspects of Joshua Tree National Park or its cultural history.” Exhibition: 50 to 60 artworks will be selected for the month-long juried exhibition at the historic 29 Palms Art Gallery, Nov. 1-30, and will be featured in an Exhibition Catalog (print & online). Awards: Juried artwork will be eligible for up to $4,000 in cash awards. 1st, 2nd, 3rd in each category plus a Best of Show award; and a non-monetary Superintendent’s Award. Three art categories: 2-Dimensional Art, 3-Dimensional Art, and Photography. Enter up to 3 works for one $35 entry fee. Enter them in one category, or split the 3 entries between different categories. Art Expo Weekend: Nov. 2 & 3, 2024 — The Art Expo opening weekend celebration will feature an Art Market, artist booths, food and beverages, live music, and an awards reception. 20 Artist Booth Spaces will be available for an Art Market on Saturday & Sunday on the grounds at the 29 Palms Art Gallery; only $50 for the weekend plus 10% commission on sales. (Sign up to to have an art booth!) Also, it’s Weed Show weekend down the street at the Old Schoolhouse Museum, so visitors can walk back and forth to both events.
Joshua Tree National Park Council for the Arts, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, produces the annual JTNP Art Expo in November at 29 Palms Art Gallery, in partnership with 29 Palms Artists’ Guild.
