Gentle, kind, beautiful soul!
Written by Raini Armstrong
I wish I had known June Fingler better, but through the time I did share with her—during Chaparral Artists meetings and the Thursday morning workshops she so often attended—I came to know her as a truly friendly, kind-hearted, and quietly generous soul. She carried a calm presence with her, one that felt welcoming and sincere.
Every creative work I was lucky enough to see June working on reflected what clearly mattered most to her. Her art was deeply family-focused or gently inspired by nature, rendered with a soft and joyful touch. Her color palette leaned toward delicate, pastel hues, and her chosen mediums—pastel and watercolor—suited her sensibility beautifully. There was a tenderness in her work, a sense of care and warmth that made each piece feel personal and heartfelt.
June was a devoted member of Chaparral Artists since 1990, and in recognition of the many ways she supported and helped the organization over the years, she was honored as a lifetime member. Her presence, contributions, and kindness helped shape our community, and her absence will be deeply felt.
June will be greatly missed, and my heart goes out to her surviving family and loved ones.
Thank you, Candace, for being such a wonderful and steady presence—for bringing June to Chaparral Artists events, for painting alongside her during the Thursday morning workshops, and for helping us stay connected with June over the past few years. You were integral in keeping those bonds strong, and we are so grateful for you.
YOU WILL BE REMEMBERED!
