I had the privilege of collaborating with Mae Fox for an extended period, during which we worked closely together to curate a collection of her glass artworks for featured showcase at the Joshua Tree Hospital. Mae's artistic approach was characterized by a profound appreciation for color, as she skillfully infused vibrant hues and diverse textures into her creations. Her passion for experimentation was evident as she expressed a fondness for integrating unconventional shapes and sizes of glass, turning each piece into a captivating puzzle awaiting the touch of her artistic vision.
Every artwork she crafted was a testament to her creativity and dedication, showcasing a harmonious blend of color and craftsmanship. Like many creative types, she seemed to create because she loved it, her home overflowing with pieces both completed and works-in-progress. Through our collaboration, I gained valuable insight into Mae's artistic process, witnessing firsthand the care she took with creating new scenes.
I was blessed with the opportunity to work with her during one of her last exhibits. I will always be thankful for that!
