Chaparral Artists proudly presents our first ever art show and open competition at the renowned Morongo Basin Orchid Festival
Set against the stunning backdrop of Gubler Orchids—a true gem nestled in the heart of beautiful Landers, California—this celebrated festival, co-hosted with the San Bernardino Orchid Society, has long offered a weekend of unforgettable family fun. Each year, visitors from across the region gather to enjoy dazzling orchid displays, engaging educational experiences, and meaningful opportunities to support local nonprofits throughout the Morongo Basin.
This year visual art takes center stage! Chaparral Artists Art Competition will highlight two-dimensional creative works, providing a fresh avenue for local artists to shine alongside and inspired by the botanical wonders.
We warmly invite YOU to participate in this spirited, friendly competition!
- Entry is free, ribbons to be awarded!
- Each piece must not exceed 11"x 14" framed (smaller is acceptable)!
- Up to four submissions per artist allowed, (one per category)

Details for the competition include labels, waivers, entry and release forms. Please attach your label securely to the back of your artwork. Download and fill out your entry form and bring it along with your art.

We are having AN INSPIRATION DAY at Gubler Orchids on Wednesday August 13th from 10am to 3pm.
Bring your sketchbooks, painting supplies and cameras! Please be sure to wear non-slip, closed toe shoes!
