Chaparral Artists are thrilled to share that our first-ever art show and open competition at the Morongo Basin Orchid Festival was a wonderful success!
Hosted at the beautiful Gubler Orchids in Landers and co-sponsored with the San Bernardino Orchid Society, the event was well attended and warmly received by festivalgoers from across the region.
Our inaugural Orchid Art Contest featured 28 stunning entries across four categories — Photography, Painting, Drawing, and Miscellaneous. Each work captured the beauty, creativity, and spirit of orchids in unique and inspiring ways.
A heartfelt thank-you goes out to our judges for their thoughtful evaluations, to all the volunteers who managed intake, setup, and information sharing over the weekend, and to everyone who participated and voted in the lively People’s Choice event on Saturday.
This was truly a community celebration of art and orchids, and we’re proud to have been part of such an engaging weekend.
