Sharon George and L Hilary Slotta are sharing space on the walls of the Center for Healthy Generations in Yucca Valley during November and their works beautifully compliment each other.
Slotta loves color, vibrancy is everything and her compositions are magical. She works with a number of mediums and certainly finds the bold qualities of each as she presents alcohol ink, acrylic and watercolor creations.
George also wows us with several mediums, presenting delicate and vivid watercolors, detailed scratch art that catches the light superbly, and a lovely mixed media that demonstrates the versatility of watercolor. This shared display of creations is already on the walls and will remain so until December 1st, so stop by, enjoy, and consider purchasing a gift for a loved one!
Patricia Quandel is sharing her creations at the Desert Hills Presbyterian Church in Yucca Valley during the month of November. Quandel is a photographer, experiments with mixed media and she has taken up painting! Her creations have always conveyed a unique take on day-to-day scenes and her paintings are are energetic and fun. I am in awe of how quickly she has taken up the reins with watercolor. I feel there is a connection to photography – she knows exactly what she wants and she is working the medium boldly. Be sure to catch the show before it comes off the walls at the end of the month!
